Glaucoma drainage devices are made up of a small silicone tube (less than 1mm in diameter) attached to a plate. The silicone tube is inserted into the front of the eye (anterior chamber) allowing the aqueous humor to bypass the blocked drain of the eye (trabecular meshwork), thus lowering the eye pressure.
Our specialists are available 6 days a week for in-person and virtual consultations.
